#RIPinternet is a campaign to save The Internet, which is about to die now that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai decided to end Net Neutrality.
We hope that if enough of us share how important The Internet was to us, Congress will find it in their hearts to stop the FCC. If you’d like to join this celebration of The Internet's life, there are a number of ways that you can contribute.
Net Neutrality is a BFD. Without it, there is no free and open internet. The FCC is empowered to create rules that regulate Net Neutrality and how we can access The Internet in the United States.
With the FCC's decision to end Net Neutrality. Corporate internet service providers like Verizon and Comcast will have the power to block websites, slow down certain sites or services and even charge us higher premiums to access specific content.
On November 22nd, the Trump Administration's FCC Chairman, Ajit Pai, proposed new rules to end Net Neutrality.
If Congress does nothing, the FCC will almost certainly end Net Neutrality on December 14th.
